Honey Glazed Chicken

Normally linda would bake the chicken in the oven. Because she’s such a rad wife, she bought me a webber spirit E320 Grill. I decided to make these bad boys the old fashion boy meets grill way.
Not only did it give it a different taste, the grill made them 200% better (sorry hun)

The stuffed clams seen on the far left are from our local grocery store, SPROUTS. They tasted expensive but they were cheap as heck. 1.69 EACH!!! The butcher told us that they go on sale once a month for only a dollar!
If you live near a sprouts be sure to pick some of these up!

Oktoberfest Addison, Texas

We ended up going to Oktoberfest Friday night. Despite the rain and the muddy ground we made the best of it. How? Cause we are awesome like that haha. Everyone was in the main tent drinking, dancing and eating. We met up with Kevin, Tia and later on Law. It was a time. We had fun drank and did what we do best… eat!

Nero/TeamAmerica/Rufio

wah waHhhwah wah wah! boom boom wah wahwahwah wahHhhh!
If you haven’t heard any dubstep this summer then thats pretty much the best describing onomatopoeia I can show you. Nero was in town from the UK, he was touring the US making many stops along the way with one Dallas, Texas. Tickets for 10 bucks a head at the small music venue ‘Trees’ in Dallas on a Wednesday night.. Yup it was pretty much worth it.
Thanks Jose for buying the tickets and thanks johnny and karon for inviting us out. The concert venue was packed as soon as we walked in. But it was jammed packed with Team Awesome and Nero came on. We left 30 mins early simply because we were all tired and sweaty from all the random dancing.

If you don’t know who Nero is, here is one of his songs.

Fried Food Greatness

The State Fair of Texas is just a few weeks away and you know what that means! ?!? Fried food greatness!! So I was told that a new vendor was coming into the mix of the plethora of Fried Food creations of the state fair. Apparently they are offering some pretty interesting stuff. Along side of the corny dogs, chicken fried bacon, fried margarita and fried coke, something else caught my attention. Fried chicken skins? Wait, what? Seriously fried chicken skins? The most delicious part of fried chicken separated from the utter meat of a chicken? Seriously, I love fried chicken but what I love about fried chicken is the tasty skin. Call me a fatty but I would eat the skin off chicken any time of day.  That’s what Phuong Le of ‘Eat Crispies’ is bringing to the table this year.

Out of 150 contestants, her dashing array of foods gave her a spot to call home for a whole month! On top of that, she’s preparing delicious cake balls. Who doesn’t love cake balls? Tiny bite size balls of cake in your mouth? really? BUT BUT BUT!! guess what? they are FRIED! Phuong Le describes them as “yummy bite sized morsels of heaven drizzled with chocolate syrup and sprinkled with powdered sugar.”  If that’s the case I’ll be sure to skip the fried butter this year to have a few fried cake balls this year!

If that doesn’t make your mouth water, she is also offering Fried Loaded Mashed Potatoes drizzled with gravy and if you request it they can drench them in gravy! I really can’t wait for these either. So be sure to keep your eye out for these when you go to the State Fair this year. Don’t just got there once, go there every time you go to the fair! I know I will but I have a feeling there might be a long line for all these food items. Just wait because they will definitely be worth it!!

[I'll have an in-depth review of these food items as soon as I sink my teeth in them!]
